6 kids, 6 empty baskets |
The solstice egg hunt began upstairs at our house.
Everyone had a basket,
We line up for a picture, but that was hard with the level of excitement in the air.
There was room on the stairs for us to gather and get the rules of the hunt:
- the 2 1/2 year old would get a head start down the stairs
- eggs would be shared at the end of the evening.
Is everyone ready? |
Get set.
Go.
With that, there was a flying start, finding eggs tucked between pages of piano music, on window sills, on door jambs, under couches, on the legs of the piano, tucked under couches and between cushions.
A good time was had by all.
Well, that isn't exactly true.
Naomi had a less than perfect time as you can see by studying her face in this picture.
The problem is not that she didn't gather enough eggs in the basket.
She is sad because she wasn't tall enough to reach all of the eggs she saw in the upper corners of rooms.
Arta
Next time hide the eggs down low so the big guys will miss them!
