Worms

What do earth worms eat?
Dave Wood and Bonnie Johnson cut down the old raspberry stalks so that the new ones can grow.

I have a whole hedge of raspberries and though they produce more slowly when they are cut down, I am not left with having to cut out the old stalks by hand.

Now I am left with the job of weeding between the plants, which is why I am thinking about worms.

Every time the tines of my pitch fork turn over another clump of earth, there is an earthworm or two that wriggles out.

I keep stopping to watch them, so I am not getting that much weeding done.
