A friend in Lethbridge suggested to Leo that we walk down into the coulees from the west side of the city to see an unusual piece of art. No one knows who built it, but there are several theories. It has been around since 2015. You can find out more about it in the following news article:

So, we gathered everyone up, parked at the university and found the path down into the coulees. This was my first glimpse of the structure: look for the black structure in the middle of the trees.
We had to cross a marshy area to get over to the trees.
Then to the path that goes through the trees to the structure.

Thank you for the text and the pictures, Mary. What is curious to me is how long I spend on the pictures in all of the posts. A long time. I study details and want to know more about them. In the example of the junk art structure, there just aren't answers. Did you take anything to add. Do you take anything away. Is there an artist's statement? Or would that be artists' statement?

No one knows who made this structure. No one has claimed it. We had never been so didn't know what to expect. We didn't bring anything or take anything. Just put stuff back that had fallen out. To be honest, there was nothing I would have wanted to take, ha, ha.
