I want to give correct information about the gift that Duncan got for his 20th Birthday: Quest II, he informs me is a system and not a game.
The system arrived about 1/2 a month ago.
He does get a bit motion sick when he plays it.
There are some really wacky games that mess with your sense of balance, he tells me.
And there are games with zero gravity.
Thank you for that clarification. I looked up Quest 2 - a virtual reality head set. It is I who am a curmudgeon on that front. I don't have the capacity to maintain balance in that type of system. Such a shame. I love the idea of it. Luckily, my imagination gives me virtual experiences daily. Oh sweet sweet ADHD.
ReplyDeleteI am going to set aside the word curmudgeon. I should have looked it up before using it. "Mean, bad-tempered, finding no joy in life, old". Old is the only word I embrace out of all of that. Sometimes I think the word Leviathan describes me, because I came to using a hand-held device, kicking and screaming. But now I can put aside that word, for I love my phone. I can even do the chat function when I text. And I can do it when I am under stress. How's that for really working out the technique and making it mine?
ReplyDeleteI haven't thought until now to ask Duncan to let me play one of his games. Maybe tomorrow.
