Rebecca's Sabbatical Begins

Arta speaking and I am getting the first spin off from Rebecca's sabbatical:  a trip with her.  For me, this is not the trip that was planned.  This is the trip that just happened.  Steve was scheduled to fly to London, England to find a place for his family to live while they are in London.

Steve and Rebecca traded places at the last hour.  He is staying in Victoria to work and she is flying to find accommodation for them.

“Wouldn’t it be a dream-come-true for us to go along with her,” I casually said to Wyona after hearing the  good news of Rebecca’s flight.  “The three of us could find a lot to do and none of it will be shopping, given  we are accompanying Rebecca.”

“If you are serious about going house hunting with her, I will do the booking,” said Wyona and off she went to her computer. 

A few hours later she was adding, “A shame to pay the money to go that far and not cruise northward to see the fjords, something I want to do, but can’t find anyone else interested in the journey.”

She had in mind a twelve day adventure that promises dramatic towering fjords and as a bonus, we will see Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Tallinn (Estonia) and Gothenburg, Sweden before flying back home.

So that is the reason that the trip that is happening didn't have a lot of pre-planning.  No five months of pre-reading for me.

I am going cold, this round.
