Channeling Leo

I am petty sure I am channeling Leo. I came upstairs on Sunday morning to announced to the kids, who were playing at the foot of Mary and Leo’s bed, that the April Conference Session in Salt Lake City were cancelled.

The kids turned to me without a beat and said, “And that is because last night the windows of the conference centre were left open and a flock of birds came through. It was hard to get them to sit down and enjoy the session. And if they needed to go to the bathroom, you had to show them the way by picking them up by their feet and taking them there.” Then they shouted, “April Fools. Our dad told us to say that."

Mary added a third level to the same story and phoned to tell her Dad about conference being cancelled, adding that not only were there congregations of crows in the building, but some wild turkeys had entered as well. When Kelvin asked Mary where she got her information, she said, from the internet. Then Mary suggested that Kelvin call Grant and tell him. Kelvin said that Grant is out on the internet often, so he probably already knows. Mary had to give up her second piece of information to Kelvin before he cancelled his Access Calgary ride. At the Jarvis house there was a different kind of joke. The kids phoned Catherine’s cell line from their land line with an anonymous message: Vote Newt Gringrich.

Yes.  April Fools.
