Michael’s favourite sugar treat is icing sugar sprinkled on melted butter on top of Richard’s early morning week-end crepes.
I have been there to enjoy them myself.
The favourite way of presentation is after the crepe is rolled, Richard cuts it cross-wise into about 7 slices.
The now-sweetened butter oozes out of each roll up as Michael lifts it to his lips.

Yesterday Michael got a package back from Rogers Sugar.
There was a long letter acknowledging his note to them.

Michael was thrilled.
The letter cautioned Michael to eat sugar judiciously, get lots of exercise, and to remember their logo: Sweet by Nature.
We talked for a while about the logo and how it is a play on people sometimes having a sweet nature.

ReplyDeleteMichael, what an unexpected and lovely reply to your letter about icing sugar. Did you take a picture of your letter to them before you sent it? I would love to read it.
ReplyDeleteDavid's eyes got so big when he saw the size of your maple syrup jar from them. When he was in Quebec last year he purchased 2 little jars of Maple Syrup. He also got to make Maple Butter.
I think we will be having crepes for breakfast tomorrow.
What an amazing letter to have received back from Rogers. That's amazing customer care and service. And a bunch of goodies on top of that!!! Richard had sent me a pic of Michael in his new hat, but I didn't know there was more to the care package.
