The Cruisers are off again....

Well.... on Friday, Arta and Wyona arrived at Heathrow airport, their bags ready to go for their next scheduled cruise [no... i do NOT know what number this one is!].  I expected to enjoy their company for the weekend, and then send them on their way on Tuesday morning, knowing that they would have 12 days of fine dining before returning to the more pedestrial fare chez the Carter-Johnsons.

Because life around here is always something of an adventure, the group heading off to the cruise ship this morning was somewhat bigger:  Arta, Wyona, Moiya and Alex.  What was once a room for 2 will now be a room for 4!!!!   I can't believe i didn't get a photo of group heading off down the street this morning (with the assistance of Steve), a veritable parade of rolling suitcases!

Don't know how much feedback we will get along the way, but stay tuned for reports from the cruisers, both experienced and novice!

  1. Lucky Alex! Lucky Moiya! Smart both of them. Tell us how things go and remember, eat, eat, watch, click, observe, listen, eat, chat, dance, sing along and bridge with Lou. We all heard about Lou this holiday season! We love Lou!

  2. What a wonderful blog! About a thousand years ago, in another lifetime, we were friends, originally in Brussels and later afterward. I recall visiting your family in Calgary, going on a road trip with you and your sister (Bonnie) and your Dad to a paleontology museum, the two of you alternately bickering and sleeping in the backseat, your Dad and I discussing the ideal reader for Joyce. If any of this stirs a memory, preferably a fond one, I'd love to hear from you. Currently, I am a partner in an intellectual property law firm in New York City, but that doesn't mean I cannot string together sentences. All the best, Clyde Shuman

  3. Yes to all of the above snippets of information stirring memories, Clyde. And yes, you know so many of the people who occasionally blog here. And yes, when your name is mentioned among us, fond memories are stirred. And in those days, if there was bickering going on in the back seat between Bonnie and me, we no longer do that for she now bows to all of my wishes.
