Think Canadian - see Canadian plays

Photo from UVic webpage
We are going to see Canadian playwright Morris Panych’s 7 Stories this weekend, a dark comedy set on the window ledge of an apartment building. Apparently the set is amazing.

What is even more amazing is that Rebecca gets tickets for us, long before showtime.

Apparently there is a massive set that will make the audience think they are floating.  The review said that the set is "bursting with a colour palette inspired by Belgian artist René Magritee, with snowy white clouds and piercing blue sky as a backdrop".  Long before she looked at the review, Rebecca scanned the newspaper and said, "You know, that picture is reminiscent of Magritte."   She can call it long before I can.

An existential dark comedy. This is not humor for everyone.  But it is the kind of humour that really makes me laugh!
