Prayer for the Funeral of a Lost Friend

As we gather together we feel deep sorrow
and tremendous loss. Help us to remember
that our most precious gifts are our relationships
and the connections we make with each other.
Help us to be present for each other today
and in our grief help us lift each other up.

Help us to do this with understanding, love and compassion.

Mostly importantly today, let us all be witnesses
To the goodness of Natashia’s life.
Let us honour her life.
Let us remember all the ways she touched our lives,
that her life and her memory matters.
Help us keep these memories in our hearts
And may these memories be a blessing.
