Salmon Run 2022. A continuation of 2018

We drove to the cabin in October of 2022.  We had experienced the major cyclical salmon run in 2018 and knew that 'every 4 years' the sockeye salmon run is supposed to be at it's peak.  It was a memorable even in 2018 and the thought was to try and recreate that memory.

Here is a link to ALL photos of the 2018 event as well as all of the photos in 2022.  Be warned, there is a womena with white silver hair in many photos of the 2018 trip included in this link.  So skip the link if necessary.

Now you have access to all of the photos.  I will now continue to show some of the photos and tell a story with just a few of the images.

The first thing that I'll share is the view.  The turn into the 'morley' and then 'stoney' reserves is memorable to me.  I love turning into these lands and looking out into the mountains.  The morley and stoney reserves have some spectacular views of the world.

Here is a link to the view over morley / stoney.

7. The whole video of us coming through the golden bridge building....

This shows exactly what we saw in october as we passed the construction and into golden.  They opened the corridor for only 3 days to allow all of the october thanks giving long weekend drivers a quick trip through the interior.

A dark photo of us driving in.  the headlights on the trees.

Betty waking up earlier than everyone else.  Cabin, hoem, doesn't matter.  Betty is up first.
