I planted a purple clematis bush on the east side of my house in a shady, cool spot -- probably not the best place to have planted it.
But it took hold, has grown up the side of the house and is now trailing onto the deck, today flowering for me.
I love flowers, especially the home grown kind that surprise me, arriving in places I hadn't thought they would climb to.
I don't know why I had to document this, ... maybe because I know we have past the summer solstice and are moving toward fewer daylight hours.
Right now, I am trying to enjoy every moment of daylight!
