Rhiannon: After Show Photos ...et al

From Mary:

Here are some random photos of Rhiannon in her school's production of Alice in Wonderland.

Dodo bird, Sea creatures and Alice at the Caucus races

This is the feature song for the dodo bird and sea creatures.

I was so impressed with how animated Rhiannon was throughout the show.

Always smiling and selling it. It appeared that she was enjoying herself, or else really, really good at faking it.

Rhiannon was a black and white striped fish. She named herself the Emo Fish.
There was also a star fish, sea turtle and two mermaids.

First Glimpse of Rhiannon

At the beginning of the show, Alice is in the park with her sister. The rest of the cast appear as other children playing. This was our first glimpse of Rhiannon before she transformed into her fish character who exists in Wonderland.

Our first glimpse of her as a fish occurs as Alice is falling through the hole to wonderland. You can see the spiral in the back which represented Alice falling. All the wonderland creatures were sitting around Alice. Sorry, you don't get to see Alice's head in this photo. I was taking these from my lap.

Sea Creatures Take a Bow

.... Rhiannon is in the middle ...

Last night the family sitting beside me on the front row had brought a big bouquet of small chrysanthemums and had handed out little bunches of them to people on the front row and asked them to throw them on the stage at the end during the bows. Such a sweet idea.
The kids on the stage were thrilled.

After Show Photo

This is the part where you mom begs for a picture of you with your sister and you finally relent (even if you are so sick of her asking to take your picture).

Rhiannon: Before the Show Begins

From Mary:

I arrived early so that I could get front row seats.  Stage crew were dressed as cards to keep the audience from entering the gym too early.

They also had a cute Alice cutout that you could stand behind to take photos.

Rhiannon: Perfecting Fish Scales

From Mary:

The first time I did Rhiannon's fish scales, they were too light.

So in between Monday shows (the matinee and evening show), I re-did the scales darker. The director said we had gone a little too far on the dark, and for Tuesday, to try to find the middle ground.

Tuesday and Wednesday have been perfect.
