Well.... why should we have to give up on Barcelona, just because Wyona and Greg are heading off to the cruise? Ah, sweet Rambla.... and the little fountain in the square at the end (where the bus from the airport goes).
Our hotel (well... actually, we rented a two bedroom apartment for a three day visit last March) was just off the Rambla, though closer to the harbour end. I wonder how close Greg and Wyona's hotel was to where we stayed?
The place we stayed in was on the top floor of the apartment block. Walking up and down the stairs made me feel like I was in a Hitchcock movie... and our window looked right out onto part of the old gothic city wall.
And the Sagra Familia? Loved it!
And then what about that fabulous gaudi park?
Not only that fantastic park bench of broken tiles, but also the incredible rock pillars that seem almost extensions of the palm trees growing above?
So..... do we ALL just keep posting on Barcelona even though those two are leaving?
Such exquisite pictures Rebecca. Keep the Barcelona theme going. Barcelona is a city that you must fall in love with even if you get mugged and have your passport stolen. Arta, Bonnie and Joaquim are so lucky to have Christmas here. Maybe Arta. David Pilling and myself will come back to Barcelona in the spring when we travel with our Eurail passes. Anyone else want to come. I'm getting a pass for a month.
