David's new bicycle

Hey cousins! I got a new bicycle today. I rode it over to Great Aunt Moiya's house. My bicycle has three ways to brake: (a) push the pedals backwards, (b) squeeze the hand breaks, and (c) fall down. I have tried all three. My favorite is using the hand breaks. Bring your bicycles out to the lake this year and we can ride down to the beach together. The snow is almost all gone. Tomorrow we are going to rake the rocks off the lawn. Summer is almost here. Come soon. Bye. From David

  1. Alex has also tried all three ways of stopping his bike. There is a third way.... run into a brick wall, or the back of a parked car....

  2. Hi,

My bike was stolen from my garage. Knowing you have a new bike, David, makes me think I should buy a new one, as well. I would like to ride over to Wyona's, Moiya's and Janet's when their phones are busy.

    Thinking. Thinking. Thinking.

Hard to know what to buy next for good exercise.

A bike, maybe? I have also been thinking of buying a treadmill, since today's heavy and wet snowfall kept me from getting a good long walk in as exercise today.

  3. I thought of one more way to stop a bike. Now we are up to six ideas. If you are riding a bicycle built for two, both of you can wave at people who are gawking at you as you drive by them, and you can run into a tree.

  4. The bell. You have your four fingers hanging on to the handle, except for the thumb. And your thumb comes up and pushes something. (I do it two times.) And then that is how the bell goes "bing".

Handle bar streamers. My handle bar streamers are the colours blue, red, and silver. They help you know how hard your fall was. If you fall down really hard, two or three streamer strands come off. If you fall down not very hard none fall off.

Great Aunt Moiya and Great Uncle Dave's driveway is very steep. Steeper than the slope to Great Uncle Glen and Great Aunt Janet's house. Be careful cousins. It's a slippery slope ahead.

Grandma Arta - get a bicycle built for two and I will push the pedals when you need help. Aunt Rebecca, can you bring your bicycle to the lake too?
