6 Good Beers

...The Princess Louise ... Victorian atmosphere ...  undeniable ...
Steve tells me that Glen and Janet have arrived in London.

With that in mind, I offer today's Globe and Mail version of the 6 Pubs to Visit if one has 7 Days in London

1. Best View: The Mayflower 117 Rotherhithe Street, Rotherhithe Order the best pint, a Greene King IPA.

2. Best History: The Prospect of Whitby. Try a pint of Wells Bomardier 57 Wapping Wall, Wapping.

3. Best Celebrity Connection: The Grapes. 78 Narrow Street, Limehouse. Buy an Adnams Bitter.

4. Best Beer: The Anglesea Arms. Taps are well cleaned and well tended. Food is good too. 15 Selwood Terrace, South Kensington.

5. Best Decor: The Princess Louise. Food is average, beer is good and Victorian atmosphere undeniable. 208 High Holborn, Holborn.

6. Best Location and Best Food: The Royal Oak. The beers are from the famed Sussex brewer Harvey’s. 44 Tabard Street, Borough.

My pick?

Number 4 where the food is good.
