"Why won't grandpa let me grab his glasses?" |
There are a few rules that have been set up between them. Glen's rule is, no grabbing the glasses that he keeps hooked into his shirt.
Landon's rule is, even if you won't pick me up, you are going to have to let me hang onto your leg and whine for you to pick me up.
The little guy got sick, as you can see from his cheeks, so he missed his daycare appointment and he and his grandfather hung out all day, coming over to see Great Aunt Arta for a while.
"I will take your camera, thanks." |
That was fine with Landon. He played with the napkin rings, banging them onto an empty shortbread tin. He shook the tic-tacks to get a rattling sound going for his band. He pressed the controller on the electric chair that lays back for old people, and lifts them forward, should they not be able to rock out of the chair themselves.
First Landon was taking rides back and then forward until he was tilted against all odds of staying upright, except that his little body adjusted until he sat propped high in the chair and his little fingers pressed the controllers, first this way and then that.
Does pressing buttons on a chair like that count as having time with your electronic toys? Time that you have to make up for by doing extra jobs around the house, or reading books?
