A Walk to the Beach

A Photo Essay
by Laynie Hicks

fifth-generation boys in rubber boots
...taking a look at the new path of the stream...

"You mean we are allowed to scramble over those rocks to find fish in there?"

... and the train beeped its horn ...
or
...Gone Fishing...

Hey!  I want to get out and walk too.
I am allowed to walk into the water without taking my jeans off?
Cool.

  3. I have it on good authority that Laynie wasn't happy that so many of her pictures were out of focus. I am like the two of you ... I like the picture where the third and fourth generation are out of focus, and we see the clear edges around little Landon, taking the middle road. I feel the same about the picture of Miranda and Alice. I don't like Miranda out of focus, but I love seeing that look about Alice -- "I am trapped here on my mother's back but just you want until I get unwrapped."
