Michael's first live musical

Richard and Michael Johnson
almost on the front row
the first time either have seen Billie Elliot
Richard and Michael have been looking forward to seeing Billy Elliot at the auditorium.  Well, I think mostly Richard has been looking forward to it.  I asked him how many times he has seen it already.  When he answered none I thought, whoops, I am in the double digits with that show -- behind Wyona, but when in London, I never tired of a good matinee like that one.

After the performance Richard said:
I got to enjoy so many smiles. Michael is a loud little monster when the action is going on. I had to hide my head several times.  For example,

1. When he kept dropping large peanut M&M's on the floor at quiet times during the show. So loud.

2. When the little girl says something mean to Billy and runs off. A quiet moment in the show follows... Michael os saying so loud.... "POOOOOOOR BILLYYYYY"

3. The father hits the son when the son sneaking out to fight with the police. Michael is saying so loudly, "WHY DID DADDY HIT THE BROTHER!!!!"
A great performance.  Lurene is inviting us to go a second time.  A hard call between living within my budget and getting the maximum pleasure out of touring companies such as this one.

  2. Of course you could relate to this report. You have taken your share of boys to cultural events. I think you have pretty well honed all of the talents a parent must have on such adventures. The kinds of food to buy, the presentations that will give them a taste of wanting to know more. The glitz and sometimes the drama of the other patrons of whichever arts you are focusing on. If I would have been making bets, one of them would not be on that fact that your men not only understand Shakespeare but like to watch it. If you could package up the gift of how you have taught that, you could make more money than you do as a law professor.
