Cleaning the yard in Austin

For two days Jamie, Greg and I have been working out in the yard here in Austin raking oak leaves and trying to get rid of dead grass, etc.

Yesterday a boy came along and asked if he could mow the lawn for $10.00. Jamie and Trent have had this guy mow the lawn before and it is a bargain for that price. So we poured on the power today and worked until just after three o’clock to have the lawn ready for him to mow.

Ivan cannot leave Greg alone. Ivan follows Greg around even before he follows Senya around.

When Senya spies Ivan having fun, she is there to supervise. Otherwise, Ivan shadows Senya everywhere and says and does everything she does.

However, the trampoline calls and the two kids stop to watch Greg play with the weed wacker.

Jamie only stops working if someone sounds like they are in great distress. Nearing the end of two days of work, I heard Jamie saying that she does not feel so bad now that Greg and I were working in the yard, because she knew that she couldn’t get all that work done herself.

  1. May I be the first to ask you to join me in my yard on lot #3 this spring? I, too, will have bags of leaves to rake, weeds to pull, banks of salmon berries to manage, dahalias to plant and tomato plants to fertilize.

Greg must really be enjoying his retirement.

My question to you is, who at the end of the day has the sorest muscles?
