Thinking about Remembrance Day

Ellsworth Scoville

Ellsworth Scoville served in the navy in the second world war.

His main role during that time was to escort merchant convoys to Britain which were hauling cargo for the war effort.

All who served in the capacity were of crucial importance and were heroes.

  1. I love it that he is in the category of people to whom my early childhood memories include the word "great" (great uncle ellsworth, great aunt erva, etc)

  2. You made me think about the "great" aunts and uncles. There were others, but you didn't know them by name as you did, the ones who came into your life. I love the appendage of the "great's". Thank you to the nieces and nephew who helped me be great.
