The Right Kind of Shot

Wyona and I saw that the Health Department is already giving the flu shot at Brentwood when we were mailing a package over there.

There was no line-up.

A clip board was handed to us, a nurse escorted us right to the front of the line and we sat right down at one of the many tables there.

There was a cacophony of wailing babies and toddlers as they received the shots along with their mothers.

Wyona and I sat down together.  That way the nurse only had to give her script about the pros and cons of the shots once.

Neither of us cried.

Nothing more than a pinch.
