Turkey Sandwiches

LtoR: Sidney, David, Matthew, Ezra, Nora, Moiya, Adam, Alice, Richard, Michael

Meeting at the Tsútswecw Provincial Park was a lot of fun.
There were 8 little children, all of whom know each other from the summer.
But this was a gathering far away from the lake
and all of us were there to see the salmon.

The most important thing seemed to be to get food into everyone.
Children took places at the table, as did some parents who need to help children.
There was another table there, but one we didn't sit at.
It was a lovely painted table, beautiful indigenous designs
and colours.
The price tag was about $5,5000.  A beauty but now one for this group.
Evangeline

And today is Evangeline's birthday:  Oct 7th and she is turning seven.
The same family from a different side of the table.

Moiya was the wise one and brought her walking sticks.
I could have used mine, but I keep forgetting them.  Remembering my water bottles seems to be the best I can do.
By the end of the day, two of the families were going on a tour to hear Fairy Tales in the Woods.

Moiya and I sat and read about the salmon run.
A pair of salmon fertilize 4,000 eggs.
Only two of these return to lay new eggs at the end of their life cycle.
An amazing day!
People come from all over the world to watch the salmon span.
It is about an hour trip for us.
