Raphael is the Artist of the Month

La-belle-jardiniere-1507-Raphael
We finally got the large prints up on the doors the go into the great room.

The prints do keep out the sun.

Now the door is doing its job. Our job is to learn the names of the prints as we sit there.

Any lull in the conversation and then Rebecca say, “What do you think of Rapaheal’s Madonna series.

Then all of our eyes will turn to it and some of us will wish we had studied it a little better.

In order for me to say anything, I sat down with the introduction to the print book, which is about all that is left. The pages are all up on the wall.  Two covers and 3 pages of text and the book is empty in that respect now.

A glorious way to live, really.

Rebecca doing all the work of finding the book, buying it, taking 2 hours in which she wrote the names of the prints on their boarders so that we know what we are looking at. And then the trouble of get the prints up on the wall so as not to damage them or the door when they come down. Hands up to Rebecca.
