The Spirit of Christmas - a Friday Night Concert

LtoR: Eric, Catie, Catherine, Rebecca, Tom, Hebe
"Come and get your picture taken in the stable Bruno made."

That is what Catherine said.

It wasn't until after the concert that I could see why she was asking me to do this.

What a great place for a Christmas family photo.

The Spirit of Christmas concert was fabulous.

I think it was in the prayer that someone blessed all of the acts that we were about to see.  I loved that.  Acts, maybe.  Numbers, usually.

The  choir with the mostest was the Mandarine Professional Choir.  The men were in tuxes.  The women had on red dresses trimmed with rhinestones.  Many rows of rhinestones. On their head were wreaths of flashing lights.  I can't think of how I could beat choir costuming like that.

The closing song was O Come All Ye Faithful.  Here is how the accompaniment went.  Two people on the piano: Ryan Weston on the top keys and Jasmine Wong on the bottom ones.  Then we had Tatian Menchakova on the organ -- she pulled out the stops.  The other musical numbers of the night had warmed all of us up to the joy of singing as though we were all professionals and not amateurs.

Merry Christmas to all.
