The Skating Rink at Mount Royal

... Hebe having no idea what skating is about ...
There are twelve of us here, all 12 of us willing to go to the ice skating ring.

Just to get two cars full of people headed toward Mount Royal is a job that could take all morning.

We were much faster than that.

Catherine declared we would be moving out at 1:30 pm and we were riding down the road at 1:35 p.m.

I was the only one who didn't skate. I walked for two hours along the club house. The day was mild. I got to pass everyone who was going out to the rink or back in, many times. Naomi said skating is only about a 5 out of 10 for her, but Mary said that by the time she got on the rink it had already gone up a few numbers.

Catherine is the only one whose feet came out from under her, falling hard enough to require help back to the safety of the first aid people. She hit her back and then her head. After dinner tonight, she was still wanting to rest -- no massage though. She wasn't letting anyone near her for she had smacked just about everything that might hurt.

Eric and the kids went back to the club house to rent helmets.  The kids ended the day by learning how to play crack the whip.  Nothing dangerous in that.

We came home to hot Italian Sausage tortellini soup in the crock pot and new bread for supper.

A good day for everyone but Catherine.
