My mom got a deep frying recently so we could make homemade poutine and doughnuts. A couple of weeks ago I asked if we could make onion rings.
I had to dip the rings in a milk/egg mix then a flour/garlic powder mixture -- twice. Figuring out to properly double dip them was tricky. The dough got chunky.
It was a lot of work but worth it. It was tasty enough that I'd do it again.
Ready to go into the deep fryer. Once they came out, they were so good be forgot to take pictures before we ate them. |
